Sam Altman Discusses Human Energy Consumption vs AI Training
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman recently addressed the growing conversation around the environmental impact of artificial intelligence. In a candid interview, Altman dismissed the notion that AI’s water usage is a major concern, labeling it “fake,” but he acknowledged that the overall energy consumption of AI systems is a legitimate issue that needs attention.
