Former L3Harris Executive Sentenced for Supplying Zero‑Day Hacking Tools to Russian Broker

In a landmark cyber‑crime case, former L3Harris Technologies manager Peter Williams, who once led the secretive Trenchant program, has been sentenced to 30 months in federal prison for selling zero‑day hacking tools to a Russian broker known as “Operation Zero.” The tools, originally developed for U.S. government intelligence agencies, were illegally transferred to the broker, who then supplied them to hostile actors targeting critical infrastructure worldwide.
