Rivian Secures Additional $1β―Billion Investment from Volkswagen in Expanded EV Partnership
Rivian has announced a fresh $1β―billion investment from Volkswagen, deepening the EV partnership that began with the joint development of the VW ID.EVERY1. This brings Volkswagenβs total potential commitment to Rivian to $5.8β―billion as the automaker prepares to launch its nextβgeneration R2 SUV.
The partnership, first revealed in 2023, aims to accelerate the rollout of electric vehicles across both brands.
