Samsung Bixby Receives a Visual Overhaul in One UI 8.5
Samsung has rolled out a significant visual refresh for its AI assistant Bixby as part of the latest One UI 8.5 update for Galaxy devices. The redesign brings a cleaner look, brighter icons, and smoother animations that aim to make interactions feel more natural and responsive.
Key enhancements include:
- New Glow Effect: Bixby’s icons now feature a subtle glow that highlights active commands and suggestions.
- Unified Design Language: The assistant’s UI now aligns with the overall One UI aesthetic, using the same rounded corners, spacing, and typography.
- Improved Voice Feedback: Voice responses are quicker, and the visual cues that accompany them are more intuitive.
These changes are part of Samsung’s broader effort to position Bixby as a more competitive AI assistant, especially as rivals like Google Assistant and Apple Siri continue to evolve. The update is already available on supported Galaxy smartphones running Android 12 and later.
