Q: What is the Notion database ID? A: The Notion database ID is part of the URL of your Notion database. It’s the string of characters between the workspace name and the ‘?v=’ part of the URL.

Q: I’m getting an error that says ‘Categories is expected to be select.’ What does this mean? A: This error indicates that the ‘Categories’ property in your Notion template is not set to the ‘Multi-select’ type. You need to modify the property type in the Notion template.

Q: The data is not syncing. What should I do? A: Check the GitHub Actions logs to see if the workflow is failing. If it is, review your configuration and ensure that all required variables are correctly set.

Q: Can I add my own notes to the Notion page? A: It is NOT recommended to add your own notes directly to the Notion page because the synchronization process will overwrite existing notes when new highlights are added. If you have notes, consider adding them elsewhere or using a different Notion property.

Q: How does the incremental sync work? A: The ‘Sort’ property helps in identifying new highlights for incremental synchronization. It is not meant to be edited manually.

Q: Is there a way to only sync specific books? A: Currently, the server syncs all books with highlights. Modifying the code to filter by book ID would require custom development.
