Xiaomi Unveils Next‑Gen SU7 Sedan with 902 km Range, Undercutting Tesla in China

Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has entered the electric‑vehicle arena with the launch of its next‑generation SU7 sedan. The new model boasts a remarkable CLTC range of up to 902 km, thanks to an advanced 897 V charging architecture and higher‑output motors. Standard on the vehicle is a LiDAR system, positioning the SU7 among the most technologically equipped sedans in its class.

Safety has also been upgraded, featuring an enhanced suite of driver‑assist features. Pricing remains aggressive: the Pro trim starts at 259,900 yuan (a 14,000 yuan increase) and the Max trim at 309,900 yuan (up 10,000 yuan), still undercutting Tesla’s Model 3 price point in the Chinese market.
