Other items from the Grejsimojs collection could follow. The speaker charges through a USB-C cable you’ll have to provide yourself. Image: IkeaThe Grejsimojs speaker features a 1.6-inch full-range driver that outputs up to 2W of sound.Battery life is rated at up to 24 hours at half volume, and the speaker is charged using a USB-C port on the underside, but you’ll need to provide your own cable and power adapter. Advanced features like Spotify Tap aren’t included, and while you can wirelessly connect and sync multiple units together to fill a larger space with sound, you can’t split the right and left mixes of stereo audio between two speakers when just one pair is connected. The speaker’s mouse-like tail functions as a carrying strap. Image: IkeaTo make it kid-friendly, the speaker has a volume limit to protect hearing and is made with a plastic body and silicone feet that can be wiped clean if it gets caught up in messy activities. However, it’s limited to an IP44 rating which means that while it can withstand the occasional splash, you’ll want to keep it away from dust, sand, and accidental toilet dunkings.Follow topics and authors from this story to see more like this in your personalized homepage feed and to receive email updates.Andrew LiszewskiCloseAndrew LiszewskiSenior Reporter, NewsPosts from this author will be added to your daily email digest and your homepage feed.FollowFollowSee All by Andrew LiszewskiAudioCloseAudioPosts from this topic will be added to your daily email digest and your homepage feed.FollowFollowSee All AudioGadgetsCloseGadgetsPosts from this topic will be added to your daily email digest and your homepage feed.FollowFollowSee All GadgetsIkeaCloseIkeaPosts from this topic will be added to your daily email digest and your homepage feed.FollowFollowSee All IkeaNewsCloseNewsPosts from this topic will be added to your daily email digest and your homepage feed.FollowFollowSee All NewsSmart HomeCloseSmart HomePosts from this topic will be added to your daily email digest and your homepage feed.FollowFollowSee All Smart HomeSpeakersCloseSpeakersPosts from this topic will be added to your daily email digest and your homepage feed.FollowFollowSee All SpeakersTechCloseTechPosts from this topic will be added to your daily email digest and your homepage feed.FollowFollowSee All TechMost PopularMost PopularBill Gates says accusations contained in Epstein files are ‘absolutely absurd’The tragedy of SupernaturalClaude Code is suddenly everywhere inside MicrosoftThis tiny pocket-friendly e-reader is packed with frustration and potentialBest gas masksThe Verge DailyA free daily digest of the news that matters most.Email (required)Sign UpBy submitting your email, you agree to our Terms and Privacy Notice. This site is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.Advertiser Content FromThis is the title for the native adMore in TechAmazon’s desk-friendly Echo Show 8 is down to its lowest price everRaspberry Pi is raising prices again as memory shortages continueJeffrey Epstein arranged a meeting with Tim Cook for the former head of WindowsFormer Windows 8 boss recruited Epstein to help negotiate his messy Microsoft exitAbxylute’s new Switch 2 controller is for all the diehard GameCube fansThe Verge’s 2026 Valentine’s Day gift guide (for her)Amazon’s desk-friendly Echo Show 8 is down to its lowest price everSheena VasaniTwo hours agoRaspberry Pi is raising prices again as memory shortages continueAndrew LiszewskiTwo hours agoJeffrey Epstein arranged a meeting with Tim Cook for the former head of WindowsRichard LawlerTwo hours agoFormer Windows 8 boss recruited Epstein to help negotiate his messy Microsoft exitTom Warren6:09 PM UTCAbxylute’s new Switch 2 controller is for all the diehard GameCube fansAndrew Liszewski5:23 PM UTCThe Verge’s 2026 Valentine’s Day gift guide (for her)Sheena Vasani4:45 PM UTCAdvertiser Content FromThis is the title for the native adTop Stories6:09 PM UTCFormer Windows 8 boss recruited Epstein to help negotiate his messy Microsoft exit11:00 AM UTCMeet the women furious with Mark Zuckerberg for killing Supernatural2:09 PM UTCElon Musk’s Grok is still undressing men3:00 PM UTCDocusign’s CEO on the dangers of trusting AI to read, and write, your contracts VideoFeb 1Shedding light on Iran’s longest internet blackoutFeb 1This tiny pocket-friendly e-reader is packed with frustration and potential
